Operation Metro
Operation Metro is my favorite free rush map for 1 reason. Close quarters. Close quarters is one of the best ways to rank up and get those all important kills. Follow this guide and you will have a successful rush game for both the attackers and defenders.
Zone 1
Attackers
Defenders
For this base the attackers can move up the sides and even the middle of the map fairly undetected because of all the bushes. To limit this to a certain number some 6 defenders should hide in groups of 2 along the most used bushes. These six defenders should all be medics and should work together to heal and revive each other. Some support troopers should put some claymores in the bushes further up from the medics and then should move back down towards the M-COMs. 1 and a half squads should be left now that's 6 people. These six people should form sub squads of 3 and should have 1 medic, and 2 supports( if needed 1 support and 1 sniper). These sub squads should each defend an M-COM each and not leave it unless things get tricky. If this does happen as with all rush maps put C4 on them and run away and blow the attackers up. Similar to the attackers staying together and working together to re supply and revive your fellow team mates is the key to defending the objective.
Zone 2
Attackers
Defenders
This zone can be easy to defend if you use the right tactics. When you lose the first zone if a squad can stay hidden in zone 1 long enough for the attackers to get inside the tunnels they could pick off any attackers crawling or sniping from behind. M-COM A is the easiest to defend as it only has 2 ways in and it is a small room. So only 4 people need to defend that M-COM and the rest of the team should be moving around trying to get any attackers who are using the trains to flank you. Putting claymores and C4 around the area is the best way to defend because as the corridors are small the attackers will probably have 3 or 4 people in the corridor at the same time. Snipers don't really have a lot of uses for this map apart from motion sensors and spawn beacons, so a recon troop shouldn't uses a sniper rifle they should use a PP-2000 or a PDW-R as a weapon because in my opinion they are as good as a assault rifle. If you as a defender run around on your own that will be just suicide because they attackers will come in groups going round in groups of 3 will help and having 4 medics, 4 support troops, 2 engineers and 2 snipers as your teams classes will be the most effective way of defending this objective. Also most people never do this in games, if say a squad mate next to you dies and he was a medic pick up his kit and revive him it will not only give you points it will also give you another man to push up with. If you lose M-COM B that's fine the whole team should just put 1 squad into the room with M-COM A in and the other 2 squads should split and stay inside and around the trains and shoot any attackers coming towards the doors to M-COM A. If you can hold out here this is the one you can win on.
Zone 3
Attackers
For this zone the attackers will move up to the end of the train station this is where the ticket booth and kiosks would have been. Now it is just a mess with things all over the place. M-COM B is located near a locker room which is basically a long corridor leading to the M-COM. 1 squad should follow the green line down the corridor. As the lockers sometimes have gaps between them it makes an easy place for the defenders to hide and rack up the kills. Before attempting to go through the corridor throw 3 or 4 grenades at different lengths to clear a few people out then shoot a smoke grenade and charge up the corridor towards the M-COM. Once armed the squad should go back into the locker room and stay by the entrances and shoot any defenders trying to disarm the station. As with before and all M-COMs claymore and C4 it encase you do need to retreat but still want to help defend it. Whilst this is happening another squad should follow the path in red and arm M-COM A. M-COM A is located in a kiosk and is pretty open if you want to charge up to it alone so staying together until you reach the M-COM is a good idea. Once it is armed the counters provide good cover. If both the M-COMs get armed around the same time the defenders will have to split to try to disarm them. This is now where the last squad come in. They should follow the blue line and stay behind the gates with would lead back down to the trains and they should set up a machine gun place. This squad should have 1 medic and 3 supports and they should shoot any defenders moving around the map towards the M-COMs. If the defenders don't come through the middle of the map the squad should move up and just help the other squads.
Defenders
This zone can be easily defended if the team stays together. As M-COM A is easy to get to if the attackers stay together the defenders should put most of their team to defend that objective. the remaining squad should go for defending M-COM B. If this squad can claymore and C4 the corridor before the attackers get to them it will help a lot because then if you are being heavily attacked get the charge out and BOOM!!!! lots of kills this will trigger the claymores closer to the entrance and woo multi kill. So that squad should keep doing that which is basically throwing explosives down the corridor. Using the RPG is also good and this whole attack is an epic troll! For the other M-COM having certain classes in certain places is great for example having 4 support troopers in the first line of defense is good for just blind firing at the attackers. The 2 engineers would be good next to just RPG any attackers who are staying together. The medics would be next to aim at the attackers and to also revive and heal team mates. If M-COM B is lost that squad should just help the team defending M-COM A and they should just find where their class is and just join in. Holding out at M-COM A could win you the game.
Zone 4(FINAL ZONE)
Attackers
This zone the M-COMs are now outside the train station around the street. There are loads of building the defenders like to go inside so shooting SMAW at them will make a massive hole making it harder for the defenders to hide in them. The attackers should just go for each M-COM at a time so they should go for A as a whole team and then they should go for B as a whole team. If the attackers bunch up the defenders will throw a few grenades in and wipe out most of the team. If you go round in the squads you are in and just 1 squad go in and arm the station and then the other squads should go around and look in the buildings for any defenders who are going to grenade the squad. Stick as a team will get this M-COM down. Once A is down the squads should go from all directions to M-COM B and should use the cars as cover. If someone makes it to the M-COM they should arm it mine it and get back to their squad. Throwing grenades and going back as individuals to the M-COM and re arming it and then re mining it is the key to destroying the objective. If the M-COM get dis armed say 4 times the whole team should move up and just run around and get the defenders away from the M-COM. Staying like this will win you the game!!!
Defenders
As this zone has buildings a few people should go in them and just pick of as much attackers as they can. The defenders should stay as a big team but split so they can stay out side all of the ways that the attackers can get past. Should the attackers get past this the defenders should all camp around the first M-COM but try to stay hidden. When any attackers come towards the M-COM shoot them. If you can hold this M-COM the attackers may decide to try M-COM B. This calls for EPIC TROLL TIME!. A few support troops should create a minefield and they should stay in the buildings which they can see M-COM B from. Every time they see a few people go near the M-COM press the trigger and BOOM!! you get a kill and set of a whole minefield probably killing anyone you haven't seen and also putting of the attackers from coming closer. Once done the support soldiers should go back and re mine the area and go back to the buildings. Repeating the trolls for M-COM B and just overwhelming the attacker on M-COM A will win you this objective and then win you the game.!!!
